My full name is Oscar Mauricio Ortiz Delgado. I am originally from Bucaramanga , but I was raised in different parts of the country because my dad was in the Army. I am the oldest child out of 4 children my parents had (two boys and two girls) the girls live abroad one of them in the USA and the other in Germany. I have a precious 3 year old boy whose name is Oscar Santiago Ortiz Cubillos, but relax I am not a single Dad I am divorced and my son lives with his mom in Medellin a city that I visit every time I can.

I am an International Certified English Teacher by the University Of Cambridge (ESOL) who has worked in different schools in Bucaramanga for about 15 years now and also in the USA. The most I’ve been in the US was when I worked for the YMCA as part of their International Leadership Program back then in 2001 year in which the Twin Towers were attacked in New York City. There at the YMCA WILLSON OUTDOOR CENTER I had different responsibilities, but basically I was a Naturalist Instructor which is a person who teaches about nature and how to interact with it to schools in the OHIO area . In the summer time I was a Camp Counselor once and then I was promoted to Teen Leadership Program Director.

Ever since I came back from the US I have still travelled back there but just to enjoy holiday and stuff.

I have enjoyed my new experience here at the CALDAS because I have been able to merge the two things I love the most which are teaching and guiding people through things I learnt when I lived in the US. Kids here are really nice and seem eager and willing to learn and I hope I can give them my very best for them to become better people everyday.

Cheers!!!

Oscar Mauricio Ortiz Delgado.
